Meet the Founder
John Alexander's career has included management roles with United Airlines, the Hotel St. Francis in San Francisco, and as the general manager of restaurants in San Francisco. He has also been a Director of Sales for the Quaker Oats Company, Instill Corporation (a foodservice technology company), and the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.
He has facilitated training sessions for companies such as Hard Rock International, Burger King, KFC, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Brinker, and Carlson, He has even trained managers and crew onboard several Royal Caribbean International cruise ships. He is an approved ServSafe Food Safety Instructor, ServSafe Alcohol Instructor and a Master Facilitator for the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation's Management and Leadership Program featuring Harvard ManageMentor PLUS. He is also a Certified Hospitalty Trainer - CHT.
In 2008, John became a Certified Facilitator of the Heart-Centered Leadership program in 2008. He believes in the principles and values of the program and strives to incorporate them into his daily life.
John is a three-year member of the Board of Directors CHART - the Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers, a 700-member organization dedicated to the development of hospitality training professionals. He has served as the Board Member in charge of the 75th CHART Conference in Minneapolis in March, 2008 and the 77th CHART Conference in Portland in March, 2009 - responsible for assembling the Conference Team and planning the educational programming.
He earned his Bachelor's degree from The School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State University and his Master of Arts degree in Human Resources Development from Webster University.
John resides with his wife, Laura, in Lake Mary, Florida.
